These sketches represent a quick proposal for a cost effective upgrade to a functioning, but run down winery that our client had purchased in Pope Valley, California (this valley runs parallel to its more famous sister, Napa Valley to the west).

A series of tanks and equipment (open ot the air) were required to be sheltered from the sun and their presence was to be descreetly hidden.

This was achieved by mounting a series of horizontal slats on a skeletal structure supporting a corregated metal roof.  I wanted to conceal the tanks, but at the same time, reveal the guts of the winery to visitors to the tasting room in the main house.

The old tile roof of the main house, in need of repair, was to be re-roofed to better match the new corregated shed roofs.
