The scheduling of sports events at Roger's Arena allows for major constr-uction only in the off-season.
Although designed parallel to phase 2 (dressing room renovation) phase 3 was to be completed the following summer. The design of the corridor leading from security at gate number 9 to the dressing room was to receive minor touch ups and was not to demand too much of the budget set aside for the major phase 2 reno.
Being a highly visible, high-traffic area for the media (the media room is just down the corridor from the dressing rooms) it was our intention to limit any new design changes to minor graphic
enhancement with little disturbance to the existing structure (one of the requirements by the client was the creation of a "wall of heroes" and was to incorporate a history of the Van-couver Canucks through the guise of past team players and various awards collected down through the years).
Although very supportive and happy with the design, Orca Bay decided to place available funds elsewhere.
