The owner of this property is currently in possesion of a few water-front properties, each accompanied by a somewhat understated existing home from the 1970's or 1980's.
After consolidating two lots, it was our client's intention to demolish one house, keep the other and extend it's influence onto the adjacent lot. I determined that the existing house could best lend itself to a prarie style
house from the turn of the previous century. Although this was not the style the client original envisioned for the combined site, he was briefly caught up in the design of the period before scrapping the prject altogether.
The house was eventually put on the market and, like countless other designs for this particular client, this project became a simple exercise in the creative process.
